Injuries hindering Steeler Success

It seems to be a theme not only with the Pittsburgh Steelers, but in the National Football League in general.  With athletes training and playing harder than ever, injuries are becoming more and more common, and I keep losing more and more fantasy players because of it.

Last week the Steelers were without both offensive captain and shining star of the organization, Ben Roethlisberger as well as defensive captain Cam Heyward... and the team certainly suffered without them.  The Steelers' rush defense has been hit hard without Heyward, who fortunately is practicing again after being out with a hamstring injury.  Some reports have stated that Ben could be back after the bye week for a division match-up in Baltimore.  But the question is should he?  Ben's stats aren't as impressive coming off an injury, and Tomlin's record isn't that impressive coming off a bye week.  Do you think is it crucial that Ben plays on Sunday? Or should he spend more time healing up for the second half of the season?

  1. With the ravens not performing as well against a lot of underdog teams this year, I feel as though an injured Ben could get the job done for us this coming Sunday

  2. I think so many players, especially at the professional level, try to come back from injuries too soon. I am all for having the best players on the field competing at the highest level but when the best players continue to get injuries, I wonder if that is due partly to coming back sooner than scheduled for their previous injuries! I think this week is just too soon for Roethlisberger to come back.
